Coconut Grove is making headlines once again! This fabulous home in The Moorings was recently featured in The New York Times. The current owners Nicolai Bezsonoff and Constanza Collarte (an interior designer), purchased the 1930’s Mediterranean estate for $3,000,000 in 2016 and completely updated it while maintaining the classic architectural details of its past.
According to the Times, the renovations took approximately 17 months at $130.00 per square foot to complete. Some of the work they did included hand painting cabinets, refinishing walls with a waxed limewash, expanding and opening up the kitchen, refinishing the existing wood floors, updating bathrooms, installing a new terra cotta roof, and much more.
Constanza Collarte is an interior designer and principal of Collarte Interiors. She has been working on similar renovations across South Florida and offers a different design aesthetic from what you typically find in Miami.
