Good or bad, I report the news as I see it. In my own experience and from my conversations with other top Coconut Grove Realtors, we are currently experiencing a slight drop in buyers from out-of-state. While the number of local and international buyers remains strong there are definitely fewer out-of-state buyers at the moment.
I believe that the slowdown is due to the uncertainty of the Presidential Election. Regardless of your political affiliation, some people are uneasy about making a major investment (particularly a second home) at a time when the direction of the country is unsettled. I am positive that buyer confidence will return by mid to end November.
If you are trying to sell a property that appeals mostly to second home buyers (and in Coconut Grove we have an abundance of those) you should see an increase in activity once the election is over.
I have earned the distinction of selling the most number of homes in Coconut Grove for the past 3 years. If you would like to schedule a buyer or seller meeting with me, please feel free to contact me on my cell at 305-342-1623 or send me a note here.
