Street Name Changes In North Coconut Grove

northgrove

The effort by homeowners to change the numbered streets in North Coconut Grove is progressing and the City has approved funding for the project.  When it happens, the name change will have a positive impact on home values in that section of Coconut Grove.

In my opinion, they should change 17th and 22nd Avenue (east of US1) to named streets as well because those homeowners suffer an immediate bias from potential Grove buyers.

Anyone second a motion for “Riley Way”?

Here is a list of the real proposed street changes:

  • 29th Street will become Overbrook Street
  • 27th Lane will become Tequesta Lane
  • 27th Way will become Tequesta Way
  • 24th Avenue will become Calusa Street
  • 23rd Avenue will become Kirk Street
  • 27th Terrace will become Secoffee Terrace
