My listing located at 1645 Tigertail Avenue closed today at a sales price of $1,100,000 (list price of $1,295,000). The home had 4,263 square feet of living space on a 7,350 square foot lot with 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths.
A recap of the deal. After some hard negotiations the buyer and seller agreed on a price. We passed inspections but ran into some trouble with the bank’s appraisel. The appraiser measured a different square footage of the house (lower of course) than the City and an appraisel that was done a few years ago. This obviously affected the “Price Per Square Foot” calculation and the house did not appraise. Due to the fact that we had a backup offer waiting in the wings my sellers were not going to re-negotiate the price. The buyers decided to come up with the extra cash to make the deal happen.
