Irvington Avenue – Love It Or Hate It

Irvington Avenue is located in South Coconut Grove. It is the kind of street that some people love and others shy away from. For one, it is extremely Grovey. Irvington features an eclectic mix of houses, an overgrown canopy (which I happen to like) and some very interesting resident characters. Talking with my co-worker Leslie Jones who lives there, I hear about all of the great block parties that they have. On this past Thanksgiving, Irvington Avenue’s cul-de-sac was transformed into a makeshift “Living Room” complete with couches, tables and rugs. That would have surely been a sight to see. Nevertheless, at any given moment on Irvington Avenue you will see neighbors chatting, children playing and peacocks strutting.
